What's in a name?

The name Carol's Someday is a tribute to my grandparents, who inspired me with their dreams and aspirations. They often spoke of wanting to travel and explore places like Yosemite National Park, always saying 'someday' they would make it happen. Sadly, that someday never came for them. Their story ignited a fire within me to take charge of my own destiny and turn my 'someday' into today. At the age of nineteen I dropped out of college and decided to live in Yosemite National Park. It was a bold and scary move but I knew that I needed to find myself before I could decide what I truly wanted to do in life. It was there that I fell in love with the mountains, hiking and meeting people from all over the world.

Hello travel friends!
I'm Carol, an American living in Italy with a passion for travel. After moving to Italy three years ago, I embarked on a journey to find what truly brings me joy and fullfillment in life. I previously worked as a nurse in the U.S., and became a stay at home wife when we moved abroad. I tried to keep myself busy from teaching english to being a virtual assistant, and realized that none of them really motivated me. 
As long as I can remember I have always had the desire to explore other cutltures and seek adventures around the world. Sharing my travels, encouraging others to travel and sharing my travel tips has also come very naturally to me. (Mostly because my friends and family have always looked to me for this advice.)  In 2022 I started sharing my travels on Instagram and gained some traction so I decided to take it a bit more seriously and found people were interested in what I was sharing.
So why not start a blog?!
As soon as I made the decision to start this blog, a passion and excitement took over and I knew this is what I want to do! I wake up almost every morning motivated to work on my blog and create a content plan.
