Hello travel friends!
I’m Carol — an American traveler, nurse, and storyteller with a passion for helping others discover the joy of exploring the world.
After living in Italy with my husband for nearly five years, I learned firsthand what it’s like to navigate travel with both excitement and anxiety. I know how overwhelming planning a trip can feel—especially if you’ve been putting it off for years or feel nervous about stepping out of your comfort zone. That’s why I created Carol’s Someday: to share honest, detailed travel tips that help you know exactly what to expect, so you can feel prepared instead of stressed.
My love for travel started with my grandparents. They used to say, “Someday, we’ll go…” when talking about all the places they dreamed of visiting. But someday never came. Their words stuck with me—and became my biggest reminder to live fully now, not later. I travel because I don’t want to wait for “someday.” I want to see, experience, and connect with as much of the world as I can while I have the chance.
Whether it’s finding neurodivergent-friendly accommodations, creating practical packing lists, or sharing insider guides to Italy and beyond, I love breaking down travel in a way that feels approachable and encouraging—like having a trusted friend (or daughter!) walk you through the process. My goal is to make travel less intimidating and more exciting, especially for those who dream of exploring but worry about the “what ifs.”
So far, I’ve visited 26 countries, and I’m nowhere near done! Alongside my work as a registered nurse in Texas, I’m building a life that combines my passions for travel, mental health awareness, and intentional living.
Through this blog, I hope to inspire you to take that first trip you’ve been dreaming of—and remind you that travel isn’t just for the fearless; it’s for all of us. 🌍
If you’re ready to explore the world with a little guidance, encouragement, and plenty of real-life travel tips, you’re in the right place.
